Illusion of Security

Mysterious immortal flame

Has come to an untimely end

And we know not the blame

Or how to mend

Written long ago, now lost

In the illusion of present

The myth has been tossed

For something more pleasant

No facts are known

And the future starts to look bleak

We should not have over- grown

Now we have lost the old technique

Security that has always been

But now it’s nothing but sin

Cheating

Cheaters are found out

Contrary to popular

Belief, we realize

The actual truth that lingers

On the lipstick stained collar

Mad Music

Sway to the musical poetry in the air

Brings forth a mysterious craving

The lullaby moving an addictive desire

One only showing a passion’s fire

But with the heart of a liar

Life is never fair

When all its people are madly raving

Wishing for Forever

The romanticized lifetime of fame

With never ending earthy dwellings

That has an eternity worth of aims

Before the restlessness clings

Always, forever, eternity of future

New faces and lives

Summertime dims in dying nature

And an ancient grief ever gives

Seasons change and fade

But winter never seems to close

And sunset on this miserable man

Too wise for the continuous flows

But why would there ever be a wish

For mortal life when it will only diminish?

Witness

Heart pounds away

So very afraid

Want to do the right thing

The moral thing

Always been the good one

Done what was virtuous

Didn’t create waves

And now it’s all over

You stand there lying

In front of judge and jury

Because fear wins over virtue every time

Mobster is just one letter away from monster
