Pandora’s Box

The first but not the last time

That the world has suffered

For a woman’s folly

The first of her kind

Given many gifts from the gods above

Though all is not what it seems

Given one gift

A curious little box

That is never meant to be opened

Curiosity drove her mad

Until she released all forms of evil

With hope being the last to escape

Pandora’s folly has never been forgotten

But what of Zeus’ role

In gifting it intent to curse them

-Kel Dayheart

*Fun fact: in the original story it was a jar, it was mistranslated and that translation was widely spread
